BBC report here
I've been involved in some of this, having tried to rein in parts of its nonsense and divert some of its activity into useful stuff. While making weight on infectious disease surveillance systems that weren't being funded properly because what was originally known as 'NPfIT' then called 'Connecting for Health' was going to be the answer to all our prayers. NOT. Screeeeeeaaaaam. Argh. Grr. VENT.
And they ration access to our healthcare. Well, that's OK, just fine. As long as the major players (the data networks, the software comapnies, the consulting firms) are in in profit, that's just fine and dandy >where's the angry irony smiley when you need it??

oh well this'll do! <
